Discover Ypres and its surroundings

Ypres has a rich past. It lies in the very center of the most important WW1 sites of Flanders Fields. There is a great tourist office with a lovely website that describes both the WW1 sites and the lovely town of Ypres…

There are enough things to discover or do. Go for a calming walk in the charming city centre or bike through the woods and fields of the Westhoek. The city walking route will guide you through medieval alleyways and little parks along majestic houses and monumental city gates onto the green Ramparts.
There are many walking and cycling routes available in the hotel. The Belgian coast-line and other old cities like Bruges, Lille and Ghent are a one hour drive away and within easy reach by public transport too.

The museums in Ypres offer interesting subjects for all ages. It covers our rich history in medieval cloth up until our part in WO1.

While checking in into the Main Street Hotel I would be happy to give you some information about the city, its history and its surroundings, only if you want of course.
